So I pulled the trigger on this little guy in Jan. What a lovely commuter. Nimble, light and fun to get around town.

I just got it back from its 1000km run in service and finally got to open up a little. 160km/h on a 300cc. What a pleasure.IMG_20190215_164810_748.jpeg

So question. A few days ago some knucklehead in an I10, was deliberately blocking my path. So we're moving, and every time I aim to pass, they move closer to the car in the other lane, closing my little lane split opening. I figured whatever, slacked off, went behind them, they brake checked me, then when I tried over taking on the other side they again blocked me.

At the time, I was flippen furious and just plain bugged out of there, but thinking back on it - although I since deleted the footage off my camera, could I have used the footage to open a case of attempted murder or something? Would you have? Am I being stupid? Should I have taken their mirror with me as a souvenir?

Yes you can open a case of reckless endangerment and since you have footage for a change it might actually go somewhere.

So many of these knobs don't know that it is in fact legal to lane split so a visit from the cop shop might actually enlighten them to that.

Taking the mirror makes you as much the criminal in the equation.

Nice man! How have you enjoyed the dealer experience?

I've ridden the little GS and it was more than capable.

You don't happen to work in a building where you park two floors down in underground parking with a line of other bikes?

Haha. No. I'm commuting to the airport, so being able to dodge all the traffic is life-changing. And the scooter that I had before was just too slow for highway use. Left lane at 80 is soul-destroying.
I see it has the digital dash and the top box bracket so I'll request it for my service in about 2k.

Keen to see how the new toys with navigation works.
What an amazing, amazing bike. The user interface is very intuitive and feels as premium as the i-Drive you get in the car. In all honesty, it felt no wider than the G310R. Lane splitting was a breeze and the torque is never-ending.

I'll keep my bike for 10000km and see if this itch goes away.

Does it still use the wheel for everything? Or is it touch based?

I did everything on the wheel without issue, so never tried touching the display. I'm probably going back to them tomorrow for something unrelated. I'll ask them

Cool.

On the RS the wheel irritates me deeply for making the stretch to the indicator and hooted unnecessarily far.

And I might not have monstrous hands but they aren’t small either.

nah, hasn't happened to me, but I would just let it 'go' - learn from it, to ignore and avoid - even with a shitty little I10, he's a threat, so stay away

Worst, part. Wasn't a he. :( If it was a he it would've been easier to get in his face.

The mirror part was more said in jest. :)
I've since deleted the footage as the camera was full when I was leaving from the office - had to format the card. Will keep it in mind for any future "events".

Power of the PR4.

Anyone want to guess the mileage?

I have an old 500gb drive that i use for the sole purpose of storing cam footage. i keep a year worth of footage at a time, deleting the old as space is needed. never know when you might need something.

Holy crap, my first rear tyre lasted 13k km.

And I reckon this one will do at least another 2500km. They do go quickly once they hit this zone though I'm' guessing cause the softer layers start coming through.

Then it will be a PR5 replacement which should do better even.

It's also done a track day believe it or not.

Posted it on SA Gamer as well and the guys lost their mind thinking I'm complaining about the crackling of the sipes and how dangerous these tyres are for bikes. They've obviously never used them to know that it's not even an issue to consider.

My last three sets have all done it and yet these are the tyres that have never ever surprised me even once.
