Holy crap, my first rear tyre lasted 13k km.

And I reckon this one will do at least another 2500km. They do go quickly once they hit this zone though I'm' guessing cause the softer layers start coming through.

Then it will be a PR5 replacement which should do better even.

It's also done a track day believe it or not.

Posted it on SA Gamer as well and the guys lost their mind thinking I'm complaining about the crackling of the sipes and how dangerous these tyres are for bikes. They've obviously never used them to know that it's not even an issue to consider.

My last three sets have all done it and yet these are the tyres that have never ever surprised me even once.

My PR4's lasted 9500km a pop. I had replaced the rear 2x. I'm now on the PR5. They're awesome tyres!

My PR4 rear tyre lasted 16 500 km. The front is currently on ~26 000km. I have a Michelin Power Pure 2ct on the rear now with about 9 500km on and it's on it's end now. Think I'm going to throw a set of PR5's on next.

Any recommendations for places that sell motorcycle gear at reasonable prices in Pretoria?

Silverton Midas has a decent Range. Montana Traders - wouldn't buy a helmet, but some of the leather jackets they have are a lot better than the branded stuff. Decent stitching and quality leather

I have all the bits to put together a Raspberry Pi cam on the bike, just finding the time to put it all together. 2 cameras for front and rear, storage, can ssh in to grab video.

And a jetski for mornings like today
Great idea, I just got a pi zero w to mess around with, with cameras being so expensive this might be a fun project.

Any recommendations on where I would find the best prices on front & rear discs for a 2011 G650GS? Preferably in Gauteng area.

That sucks ass. Charge that kunt with murder

It worries me how little defensive riding people do as if leaving it all to luck of the draw and hoping for the best.

Just tonight I predicted and entire situation and the multiple ways it would go and they all came together right in front of me.

Guy travelling in middle lane on a midsized dual sport behind a van. Two cars in the right lane some way ahead but you can see the front one is being pushed by he one behind and will go to the middle any moment.

Smaller bike in the left lane well within the periphery of the other bike.

Bike decides to pass and first almost gets taken out by the car changing from the right to middle who didn’t indicate but whose intentions were written all over then, at the same time after narrowly dodging them almost take the bike out from the left lane which is also moving right now.

All avoidable if any one single person drove/rode defensively.

If the main bike has just been permanently lane splitting instead of changing “modes” the whole time on his riding behaviour he would have been much more aware of what is happening around him.
