Had a little oopsie a couple of weeks ago, just a little slide around a corner. Now starting to get things together to fix it, shoved the bike away until the memory faded a little. Good job the weekend bike was fixed earlier in the year.

If anyone has a lead on a Givi top box not being used or going for a good price, please let me know.

I don't care too much how the sales guys treat me, as I mostly know what I want to buy and have read up on the bike - it has happened too often that the sales guys know less about the model I want than me - I like to hear what other customers say about the workshop folks and try to build a relationship there rather

I have previously bought 3 bikes from Bavaria in centurion and also when they were still in town and in the East of Pretoria - always had very good service from them, but haven't been in their shop since 2013, when I moved over to KTM

if you had a solo week day ride to just say fsck it, starting from jhb where would you ride out to and what would the days activities hold?

He does kind of allude to my own logic that it doesn’t really do much of anything at all.

As I had previously stated I never cleaned my Triumph chain once and lubed it with BelRay wax when I remembered every 1500-2000km or so.

It was sold at 36,000km with the original chain in perfect order.

From Pta I would go for lunch at Woodsman, do the 22 twice and come home.

Else go Bethlehem, clarens, Fouriesbug, Clarens and back again

I watched this over the weekend. Will be interesting to hear others thoughts on the findings.

Interesting. Was just putting buying chain lube in my todo list this weekend but seems heavy motor oil for the win!

Good Morning all. please pass this message onto your members throughout SA. 5 bikes were stolen last night from KTM in PE.

If anyone is being offered a bike please be on the lookout. These are the bikes:
Ktm 1290 used / 790 r demo / 250 Xcf / 250 sxf / 350 free ride used.

Please contact Brenton from AutoMotorcycles should any suspicious sales be offered-- Brenton can be contacted on 0835972979. Please pass to all bike shops as well--much appreciated

I wonder what would happen if you were to degrease the chain completely and run it, I suppose it'll just wear very quickly, don't think it'll seize links or anything.

Lubricant is protected by o-rings. They'll be fine.
Your chain will rust and likely the rollers won't roll very well.

Hi there, I am buying a new bike please could somebody advise if it would be ideal to get a tracking unit fitted on it.

I have one of those AutoWatch immobilizers fitted to my bike and I regret it. Drains the battery if you don't ride too often- I'd imagine a tracker would be that much worse. I wouldn't do it- I also refuse to fit a tracker to my car, not just bike. There's also the issue of cutting into the wiring harness and if whoever fits yours doesn't know what he's doing, you end up with more headaches than it's worth.
