I'm bored as hell on my 250. Thinking of upgrading.

Is a cbr600rr too much for me to handle, or should I maybe look at a 650?

Bored because of power, speed or just something new?

All this talk of noise! Anyone recommend someone to recondition/rebuild/build custom mufflers? Mine are knackered.

I hate these posts when the profile or the post itself doesn't include a location...

Help us, help you.

I've been feeling the exact same for about 2 months now. Even though my CBR250R is a good bike to start on, you outgrow it very quickly. I'm also looking into a 600cc,but funds is the problem...

Ya, checked on the internets, didn't need to change anything, bike runs fine with the different pipes....at about 10x the noise :)
Stock pipe was almost silent. Scooters were louder.

Yeah the triples do tend to be a bit quiet stock.

Guessing you kept the O2 sensors in place then to not confuse the ECU.

What did it cost if I maybe ask?

Ai jai jai.

This is exactly why I recommend a 650cc class Parallel Twin as a starter bike to people.

Which 600 are you looking at?

You did warn me :D

I didn't have enough money at the time though so I'm willing to spend a bit more this time.

And stupidly expensive.

True, but Mike could be a rich guy...

I've never owned or known anybody that owned a Triumph before. From what I hear/read though they are easy to ride. What's maintenance like? Parts, service costs, reliability?

Twin actually. Think it was around 12k. Will have to go dig thru emails to check.
Sensor stays

Would depend on dealer really.

I find the labour very expensive but also has to do with my dealership charging in half hour increments. One of the reasons I'm going BMW as they break it down into 5 minutes and therefore are significantly cheaper as bizarre as that sounds.

Parts are much of a muchness.

Bonnevilles are very reliable as they are low power. My STR needed an engine rebuild at 32 - 33000km...but that being said it's not the norm and they are usually quite bulletproof.

Normally they are meant to run into electric/electronic issues and then it's in my opinion a problem for bikes sleeping outside.

My current dream bike is the triumph street triple. Read so many positive reviews about it. Hard to find anything negative. If they had demos at the bike festival I would have... Just need some money now :(
