Mt07, which I traded in beginning of last year for a Mt09 tracer, which I traded in last December for the b-king.

LOL.

So what are you on then? A B-king? I didn't know they even still exist.

My current dream bike is the triumph street triple. Read so many positive reviews about it. Hard to find anything negative. If they had demos at the bike festival I would have... Just need some money now :(

You can buy mine in a few weeks. Special price.

I specced a new one today with the same features and it comes to R145k before adding the pipe and other stuff. Pretty crazy.

I'm bored as hell on my 250. Thinking of upgrading.

Is a cbr600rr too much for me to handle, or should I maybe look at a 650?

Keep the 250 and buy a bigger bike. You can handle any size bike of you ride it responsibly.

I have a 800 Suzuki Intruder and rarely ride it because I find it too heavy and cumbersome for town traffic. I find that my 180 Bajaj Avenger is perfect for riding in town, and as my daily transport to and from work. It's small, nimble and easier to handle through traffic. My 250 Kymco Venox is reserved for weekend recreational use only. It has roughly double the power of my 180 and is perfect for taking a quick ride to the Cango Caves, or a quick trip over the Outeniqua Pass.

Personally for me I'm not looking for a bigger/faster bike anymore, my 180 and 250 has all the speed I need.

I didn't even know they existed. Was looking for a different bike, saw it in the shop. Did my research, thought it might kill me, did more research, then took it for a test ride.
2 blocks later I decided I had to have it.
Was in perfect condition.

Why the upgrade path? Were you hunting for more power? I really want me an Mt 07 :D
Mt07 was a fantastic bike. Small, light, super easy to ride, tons of fun.
The only issue I had was that it got painful to ride for more than half an hour. My ass complained to much and I wanted to do more longer trips. So I got the tracer purely for the comfort.

And then hardly drove it for 8 months because I was out of town (work). So. I decided to change back to something purely for fun.

Oddly enough the b-king is as easy in traffic as the 07. It's a big and heavy bike but get it moving and the weight disappears.

And the engine...... Lordy lordy that engine.

I'm thinking of adding LED strips to the side of my bike for better visibility. It has these huge plastic covers that house the indicators and a 'fake' side light. Gonna put a strip in there, should make it a lot more visible.

I plan on putting some L.E.Ds attached to the brake lights that'll not be visible but shine light into the tire and inner arch of the rear, so they'll only be visible under braking at night. Then also the front L.E.D spots to improve front visibility. When driving a car I always notice bikes with those on.

I'm so jealous, the Mt 07 and/or 09 was my dream.
I decides on the 07 rather than the 09 because I wanted something softer and easier to ride. I'd rate the 07 as an excellent beginner bike but not the 09. That triple engine has power to get you in trouble.

... Then I bought the 09 anyways
... And then bought a naked Hayabusa

Yeah at first I fell for the 09, but later decided it's for the best not to get that torque monster, that's when I fell for the 07. After some arguments with the wallet I decided I need even cheaper for a beginner bike.

We get a bit screwed with bike prices locally. In europe the MT07 is cheaper than the Honda NC700/750. Here its a chunk more expensive.
I'd still rate it as one of the best 'starter' value for performance bikes tho.

In 2 years (and more than 15 years of not riding bikes) I went from 70 hp, to 115hp to 181hp (and 140 odd NM of torque)

So I'm where you started 2 years ago, I come from an offroad background, plenty power with those low gear ratios, but off-road and tough cheap bikes I didn't care much. For me now the er6 does the job.

The 600 class, imo, is the best starter class. They are light enough that they are easy to ride, but they have enough power that you can have alot of fun once you get used to them, but are still 'safe' that they are only fast if you push them.

My biggest problem (besides when it's too cold or wet to take the bike) is where do I go from the b-king? Mothing really close to it that I .....OOOoooo Aprilia Tuono 1100

How about the 1290 superduke GT?

Is there any place you can see the sales of different bikes per month?
There's so few second Duke 390s for sale on autotrader for example, was interested in how many they sell a month.

I"m a patient man and all (or so my wife tells me) but what the **** was I thinking buying a bike so far in advance and it's STILL 12 days away from me fetching it.
