Hey guys, so I'm just trying to think of ways I can display my medical aid details for the bike, I got the normal sticker that goes on car Windows but I don't like that idea, do you guys have other ideas?

I don't always keep my wallet with me when I go riding, so that identifier is also a no go. I was thinking of a keyring type deal?

What about dog tag's like the us army .

Doesn't seem as if the K1300S ever make the discussions on forums !! OK I'm biased ...

It's been dropped from the line.

So only relevant second hand sadly.

Also it's pre-historic by modern standards if I'm frank.

No licence plate = traffic fine
Hiding parts or changing your number plate = defeating the ends of justice which I think becomes a criminal matter and not a traffic violation

My theory is that if you're seeing a lot of these people they are probably coming out ahead (in terms of fines they would've paid). In my books though they are simply scum.

Yeah the once that my place legitimately fell off I was made aware by the traffic cop pulling me over.

That **** doesn't fly in Cape Town.

Didn't know it was discontinued, I must start to pay attention and not just look at the K1600 when I'm there!

Yeah I believe this is the last model year.

Or just whatever stock they have left. Might even be 2015 bikes.

It's off the website already for a while now.

Goodbye old friend.

I think I very nearly had an off...
Splitting past the traffic at around 30km/h and approaching a red light I stood up for a bit for a better view since I saw two guys looking to cross the road. I see the one cross and the lights go green. The second guy was still quite a few paces from the edge of the road so I incorrectly assumed he would wait and I sit back down. But instead he ducks between two cars and out the side of my eye I see this disaster in the making. I honestly don't know how close we came but I just shoved the right handlebar down to miss him on my left. There was a gent on a V-strom behind me and when he caught up to me at the next intersection he said "That was fast" and something else but the road was clear so we went our separate ways. So I guess pretty close...

Lol. You missed the Frogger!

I gave mine a lift for about 3m and miraculously didn't crash either.

And he was so sorry and made a quick run for it that it wasn't my problem either.

Thought I would have cracked the windscreen but wasn't even a mark on the paint.

Anyone watching Ride with Norman Reedus? Thoroughly enjoying the show so far except for the fact that I now want to tour America with Norman on a Confederate Hellcat.

Yeah I'm watching it between other stuff when I have time.

Very cool show.

Like Anthony Bourdain on bikes.

Finally got my bike the way I want it to be , Now it sounds like a bike and not a sewing machine after the decat but not excessively loud .
The main reason for the active decat is to give a smoother ride below 3000 RPM , the bike used to buck and cut out if you try to ride it or take off below 3000 RPM , now it is smooth and rides beautifully .
Got rid of the EU emissions BS .
1. Tailtidy
2. Crash bars and sliders .
3. Decat , get that ugly piece of metal out from under the bike and lose a good few KGs .
4. Active decat electronics .
5. Fuel mod so I can vary the fuel mixture .
6. DNA air filter , now the bike has two air filters so it is getting much more air (Reason for fuel mod )
