It normally has current live numbers within the same hour slot.

Presumably based on people tagged at that location at that time.

Either way it helps to plan ahead using that data.

Fair enough. My driver's license (and eye test) were redone less than a year ago. There should be a grace period of sorts for this...

Interesting! Wasn't aware that this could be done. Definitely will look into it. I'm not phased though. I got the documents and will go on Thursday morning nice and early. I work just down the road and fortunately things are still relatively quiet at the office.

Super excited to get this show on the road! :)

There are still a few of them hiding in town by the way. They make the most amazing racket.

I know a SAPS Mackie who still rides at the end of there during the Cape Minstrals
 
So this morning standing at the robot, I pull away... open road ahead... so I leave the cars behind. Not far down the road there's a manned speed camera, obviously I was breaking the speed limit but the cops didn't even look my way... pull of the car behind me which was "miles" behind me :crylaugh:

Do they just not give a schit about the bikes, or is there little camera not capable of reading the speed of my much smaller/thinner machine?

I suspect they battle to get a decent reading off bikes. I haven't proven this though, can't afford it :p

(ps, wouldn't the fact that YOU are on the bike mean it's not much smaller/thinner? /RUNLIKEHELL)

Could be that the camera is front facing so they don't really have the evidence to argue it in court?
 
Was he facing the front of your bike? He may have been had his LIDAR gun locked on another vehicle.
If he was locked onto you, the officer wouldn't have had enough time to get your Number plate.

If you went past him and he was facing the rear of your bike you probably would have gotten a fine.

They are perfectly accurate to the exact GPS kilometre.

So I suspect they just don't bother.

Probably scared you decide to make a run for it and they might need to do some work.

But as was said above if it's front facing it's probably too much hassle to prove etc and rear facing requires more man power.

Always wonder thought why the automated stuff isn't rear facing. Is it also just to catch a glimpse of the driver to correlate evidence?

Unless you are riding at recklessly high speeds, they will make an attempt to stop you, but no cop is going to run out in front of a speeding bike. Their general comment is 'let him speed, we will help collect the pieces at the accident scene'
