Saw a Ducati V4 S in the wild yesterday and it is a stunning bike. Had an akraprovic slip-on which was very loud. The seating position looked pretty aggressive though, especially for lane splitting through peak PM traffic through Bryanston on William Nicol.

Ag no man Italian bikes needs Italian pipes.

Do you have the 401 or 701?

I like the look, just not the price.

Not me, just at my office.

401. Actually didn’t know there was a bigger option.

Too small for me but compared to the BMW G310R it has lots more presence.

What do they cost? It’s basically a KTM isn’t it?

Yea that’s what I meant. I’m curious how it rides compared to the typical 400s. It’s a lot more modern so I’d expect it to be punchy.

Only the Vitpilen comes in a 701 version - 690 duke motor. The Svartpilen is only available in 401 - or Duke 390 motor.
This is my understanding of it. I could be wrong.

So I got BMW to change the paint colour and remove an R from the bike.

Decided that spending 90% of the time commuting was not the best use of a superbike.

So traded-in to 90% of the RR with a lot more comfort.

Now I just need to put on another 900km so that they can remove the limiter. IMG_20180523_094128_HDR.jpg

Congrats! Sexy bike!

Apparently overtaking a motorcycle via lane splitting from behind in a SUV is a totally acceptable and the save thing to do. My position was left car wheel lane one car length behind another car and the SUV pushed his right wheels all the way into the 30cm shoulder with barrier.

Hi all. New rider here. Figured a "dash-cam" or something similar might be good considering my daily commute will be in heavy traffic and I can also use it to analize where I need to improve. Does anyone perhaps have recommendations for a cam on motorcycle, or is it not worth it? This seemed reasonable? https://ice-tags.co.za/product/ice-cams-pro/

Today is probably the last day for a while where I take a chance with the rain :p started bucketing down about 3 minutes from work, jacket was soaked but the water was only barely coming through to my work clothes when I arrived.

I've been looking at similar products, however, the ice-cam will be fixed to your bike, which has pro's and cons, I hope you're comfortable enough with DIY to snip around your bikes electronics - I'm not quite. Two cheap action cams I've found with decent reviews though:

Which is currently the top runners in my mind. The image sensors seem to be better quality than the Ice-cam. And then fact that I can use them for other stuff as well as not needing to trim any wires and things on my bike makes them very attractive.

Thanks, will look into those two a bit as well.
