Fark, it's hard to rebook a test after failing the first time. I've never been one imbued with much self confidence, so to fail the first time in my mind is just a simple indication of my own (lack of) general abilities. Failure is what I know... So to get up off my ass and try again is the toughest test of character.
Learners or yard?
If yard, it beats booking then writing that ****ing learners test again in a few months.

I need to do my test, but now you're worrying me. how long have you been riding?

A suggestion when going for your drivers test - do not take a heavy bike that you can't handle, take a light one that you can handle easily (one which falls in the class of drivers you're doing), do the test on it.

When I went for my big bike drivers, I did it on a 125cc bike, which handled quite well, passed the test on the first go.
Somebody else was also there with a big bike (800cc something) and failed as he could not do figure 8 or zigzag without touching the road with his foot. (It was a long, long time ago though).

I know the feeling.

When you are used to usually passing things that fail ****s you over so badly.

I did my car license FIVE times. And this from a kid who’s been driving since 11/12 and could do it better than just about anyone who passed but couldn’t conform to the K53 bullshit.

Where are you based?

Yard. Rolled back on the incline start...
Sorry to hear that man.
Get a light 250cc or something (if you haven't done so already)- you can rent one at most driving schools for the next test. If you're in Pretoria, I recommend Bonus Betuurskool in Waverley- although quite a few years ago, myself, my sister and mother made use of their services.

Wait a minute, I thought you have to be on something larger than 125 to do your drivers?

If you want to be licensed for something larger, yes. I think the smallest you can use while still being licensed for all size bikes would be a 150cc, although, generally I've heard a 250cc is the better recommendation. Nearly same weight with a bit more power, if nothing else, to make stalling the bike just that much less of an issue (especially a scrambler with grunt low down)

How times have changed, there are no zig zags or figure 8s in the test anymore. Seems they have made it easier.

Did they allow you to carry on with the test, Im sure it was just nerves and if you had been allowed to continue you would have aced it.

Great attitude, you will get it the next time.

@Zuner, recently done mine at Randburg and my mate done his in Kempton Park. Just get over the nerves and ask the guys have said - it is best to use a small bike as it makes the test much easier.

I'm guessing that's not a good damn it. What is your license code on the card?

edit: Unless the has changed since I went for my license

I haven't done motorcycle license yet, planning on getting a 125, would have been great if I could do the test on it, also didn't know there are different codes for motorcycles I thought it was just learners and full license.

I watched a few of the youtube videos and then tried riding less like a chop and more like what I have watched in the videos. I was told to hire a 250cc because it is easier, but I realised that it would be easier on the bike that I ride every day, so I went to do the test on a 1200 sportster (even the instructor in Krugersdorp looked worried). Started the test at 7:45 and was sitting in the office at 8:05 doing the paperwork

you have to do it on a 200cc and above to qualify for that license code
