Okay, the initial shock is over and I've had time to get used to it. I just opened mybb and realised- hey I actually like this.

Dont like this change at all, everything looks so huge! Old one was 100 times better looking...

The one that came up with the new website design just ruined MyBroadband for me and alot of other people too. :( :crying:

What a sad day...

You always get those that detest change.

When the next site design upgrade happens, they will moan about how the old (current new) site was way better.

You will get used to it!

I think it is great.

It's hard to distinguish between advertisement pictures and article pictures...

I'm with Scuzzy on this one. Initially I thought it was because the frames make everything look the same, but adding pictures on top of the main articles makes it look like advertising and is a bit distracting when looking for the main stories.

Otherwise the new layout looks neat!

How do I see the latest forum postings? Used to be on the old page - which I prefer

Currently would prefer the previous look but the new look might grow on me given time.

Same - find the layout of this one a bit confusing - the news sections are all kind of merged together.

Yeah, me too, but more importantly - with the old layout you could see all the top / new news in ONE GLANCE.

Now you have to scroll and scroll to catch everything. AND you can't really differentiate between the main articles and the less important stuff like you could with the old version's 'sidebar' on the right.

Also, as others have mentioned - why so big?

Edit: Just read through the whole thread. I see all my points have been brought up already. So just add this as another voice calling for better useability, whether that constitutes a return to the old design or serious changes to the new design.

Thanks for the feedback – it is really valuable to us.

As an interim measure we changed the font size of most of the sections to differentiate between the headline articles and less important articles. I hope this helps a bit.

I also find it confusing, there seems to be too much content on the front page now or it's just the way it's laid out. It looks slightly better without the ads (with adblock on), but I don't use adblock anymore on myBB :D

Another thing, I've counted more than 11 ads on the front page. Doesn't Google push down sites with lots of adverts?

I don't think MyBB uses Adsense, direct advertisment contracts/deals are probably what's used, so there shouldn't really be any way for Google to push down the no. of adverts or penalize MyBB in any sort of way.

I prefer the old look.

Unless they also change the header. I think the new look would look better with a new header.

Sorry still not used to it because its simply terrible from a usability point of view.I don't fit your stereotype at all I love change and even change my phones every month so that I have a new interface.Geez I even liked metro from the start because it makes sense with a touchscreen but this just doesn't work at all for browsing with a mouse and keyboard.Too much scrolling, ads hogging the limelight and sections overlapping are aesthetic nightmares.

Rpm experiment time is over stop punishing us and give us our old loved interface back, this new look is pretty but is torture to use!

Maybe implement one or two elements from the new look into the old but the old layout should not have been changed at all.

The font change has definitely improved it drastically from the first draft (for lack of a better term).. it's still a bit cluttered for my eyes, so I can only imagine how it must be for a first-time user.
