Replacing spouse's b/room 32" LG LED,non-smart TV with a 43 or 50" TV-------purchased a high sense E6N 43" TV and was very disappointed with picture quality. When it was returned & the old LED was put in it's former home u could easily see the differance. Old was actually better despite it's +10 years age. Only reason for the change is that we require a larger TV.

Need recommendations please?

LG/Samsung for 43'' , Hisense is rubbish in those sizes.
Yep, Hisense only really gets ok for their midrange products.

Never buy the entry level model, always the midrange or higher. Avoid the 6 series. E7 for lower midrange and U7 for upper midrange.

or this one if you want want high refresh rate for gaming:

those are the models you want to compare with LG/Samsung.

I have the former and its pretty good for 4K Youtube content.

This is an excellent resource for looking up how good a TV actually is:

This would be true for all OEMs, low end is low end regardless of OEM.

Hi Folks, Came across this just now. Am sure it was not there when i took the E6N....Any comments welcome? Whilst the ad says it comes with a voice remote it actually does not.

Believe @Sapphiron already answered your question.
Absolutely correct. As this is now a

E7Q 4K UHD QLED Smart TV with Quantum Dot & HDR whilst the other Hisense in that size are minus QLED, i just thought it might be different. i must confess to tech ignorance as well.

Edited: Heck i see it now. Says avoid the E7 🫣. My apologies

Read that again, there is a full stop after the 6 series

Got my knickers in the twist there. Old age. So we're saying that the E7 is fine but the one i pasted is a 43" which size members are not quite happy with. @ sapphiron what do u think of that E7 but in a 43" at R4.499. Thank u folks for your assisstance.

Should be okay at 43" though generally better panels would be used on 50",55",65" type thing not really 43"

As a matter of interest what are these 2 LGs like?
43 inch LG UHD AI UA80 - 43UA80006LC
43 Inch LG UHD 4K Smart AI TV - 43UA85006LA

Similarly priced. Looking for a decent 43" Smart TV

this is for a specific area upstairs - max size is 43" unfortunately.. 65" already in situ at home...

What re really good 43" TVs? Seems to be a myriad out there! At R6k odd for the LG seems to be well spec'd

PS she agrees...

This is what i got from Gemini : "In many markets and for certain model years, the QNED80, QNED81, QNED82, and QNED84 series are all essentially the same television with minor cosmetic differences and are used by LG to segment the product for different retailers or regions."
