This will be a good option, where you have your Telkom line and the calls go over another telecoms provider.

Carrier Selection will be available in the first half of 2007, to allow you to select Neotel on a call by call basis for voice calls, and Carrier Pre-Selection in the second half of 2007, to enable you to select Neotel permanently for all your national and international calls.

When will services be available in my area?

We are currently deploying a nationwide, next-generation telecoms network which will gradually span more than 10,000 kms. Initially, in the first quarter of 2007, our network will reach Johannesburg, Pretoria, Cape Town and Durban, but it will eventually expand to reach more than 80% of the country's population.

80%? Good thing they don't give a date for it. But I will be holding them to their first quarter 2007 target.
