I had to manually update my IP address and everything worked again.
I have had to repeat this a few times.

The giveaway is that after updating your IP with UnoTelly that Netflix is still broken.
If this happens, always check the IP which UnoTelly is pointing to.

So, do you mean that I must log into UnoTelly and force it to update the IP addresses, because I have done this numerous times as sometimes there is an IP configuration issue and needs to be updated? After I 'click to update IP address' it works fine on the other devices (Laptop, Ipad, lenovo tablet, etc) but still nothing on the PS4.

How do I check what IP address UnoTelly is pointing to on the PS4?

Thanks Bwana. That is the correct router. It did take me a while to find that manual previously (although I found it instantly when searching again) however as I am not tech savvy enough to understand what I am doing, and finding no joy regarding setting up the static route on the internet or from UnoTelly, I landed up doing more harm then good and, as mentioned, eventually just factory reset the router and threw in the towel.

If you know where I could find an idiot's guide to setting up the static route (and which won't affect the connectivity of the numerous other devices all connected to the router in the house), it would be much appreciated.
 
According the manual you want to go to Network -> Static Route

Click on the add button
The Destination IP is 8.8.8.8
Interface should be your pppoe name
Your Gateway IP is the address of your router - for example mine is 192.168.0.1

Click on apply/save and repeat with 8.8.4.4, 208.67.222.222, and 209.244.0.3

That should do it.

Bwana, this worked a charm. Got it up and running in about 10 minutes. Can't believe the solution was that simple.

It is all the more easier if you have a WD Live, which I also happen to have!

On the WD Live, not only are both the Netflix and Hulu apps pre-installed, but Netflix also has a dedicated button.
For this device, all you would need to do is to sign up with Unotelly.

Once you have signed up, browse to the Netflix and Hulu pages respectively and register on one or both, and it'll work.

That's it!

Nah, don't say that.
The most difficult part is creating the new PSN account only so that you can download the apps onto the PS3.

Trust me, the rest is really easy.

well i get the Code: nw-2-5 error...i've done everything in the OP post...what now?

On unotelly quickstart it says it is good

I use the DNS settings they gave me on Unotelly...help?
 
I'm on Vox Telecom. I did see there was an issue with people using Chromecast on Vox.

I will try using a different ISP in the morning.

I tried using Hulu+ also, but also gives me an error.

Seems to me it's a mistake i've made somewhere along the line.
 
Remember to create a US and UK profile so that you get the best of both worlds. Also in the web browser you can load the Pandora site optimised for PS3. When you have the two accounts setup and have installed the apps you are interested in you will then be able to access all apps in either profile.
 
I don't know if I've set my unotelly thing up properly. I have gone through the process of signing up.

The only issue I have is when I access Unotelly, it says "your DNS Setup is not complete. Are you in a hotel or using public wifi" etc.

I am accessing this through my laptop on my home wifi.

Do I need to put DNS settings on my router or just on my PS3?

Really confused.

I have used a different ISP, I have used different DNS settings from Unotelly.

My PS3 is connected to the router with a Ethernet cable.
 
Seems like I've got it working. Went onto Unotelly on my PS3 browser. Clicked update IP address and it works. Only issue is when I clicked on free trial and put in my credit card details, it still charged me???
