Netflix to open retail stores

Netflix plans to launch several brick-and-mortar stores where customers can buy merchandise from its hit shows, have a meal, and participate in live experiences, Bloomberg reports.

Dubbed Netflix House, the first two locations will feature a Squid Game-based obstacle course and live performances.

Sounds like a rehash of the Planet Hollywood- saga.

I guess they’re trying to create another revenue stream … but opening physical stores isn’t the way IMO. Especially for a company like them

Should rather try looking at other innovative ways online.

This is great news! Now get movies and series on DVDs and rent that out too while at it.

Netflix sent out their last DVD rental on the 29th of September this year.

I know. But since opening retail stores again selling merchandise they might just as well consider this again.

Fairly sure Netflix House(s) will flop with complaints from its USA customers about money wasted on this Netflix House concept while Netflix subscription fees in the USA are perceived to be high.

Besides that, streaming Netflix in your own home and online shopping means that you don't have to interact with annoying people in a retail space.
