Hi all looking for some advise on a setup , at the moment we are working remotely we are a small company 10 user,

We have most of our data in Gdrive and our gmail,

But we have one challenge we have operation software that runs on the local network and is a bandwidth hog.. we have not manage to get this to run remotely. So we all have pc’s at the office then remote into thoser and ruin the software..

Does anyone have recommendation on how we could eliminate those pc at the office with a terminal server server or running multiple vms on an single pc ?

What have you guys seen in practice.

Thank so muwe ch Gregg

You have PC’s at the office that you remote into so what’s the problem?

It should work exactly as if you were sitting locally in that chair and shouldn’t hog any additional bandwidth as it’s all happening on the remote end not over the line.

How would you ruin the software?

And the same problems will remain if you run it in a terminal server or multiple VM’s on a single server.

Cool just looking am simpler options to simply the following

Power cuts - one server is simpler on a ups that 10(ineffably 1 doesn’t reboot)
Relocation of the sever would perhaps to a dataceter(with to or promos clients)
Rdp & multiple screen seems to be a issue

Yeah windows I’d the current setup..

Your mail and docs already offsite, maybe putting the application on a hosted server is best option. Otherwise Microsoft Remote Desktop services is what you looking for.

Microsoft Remote Desktop Services and hosting your server off-site is probably the best way to get this done. You can get month to month licensing on this at a decent price. Shout if you need a hand.
