No growth in Fixed Lines

I still think Telkom should drop the Analogue Rental for people who use ADSL. This in my opinion is nothing more than double billing - one line should equal one rental.

How many people have given up Telkom Phones in favour of Cell Phones simply for the reason of the R100 odd Analogue Line Rental Charge? There are Cell Phone packages that you can buy for about R100 with air time so why pay R100 odd Line Rental on something that is not even mobile and you must atill pay for calls on top of that.

Hopefully we will still see a reduction in the cost of bandwidth going forward. Per Gb Billing in other words.
 
Just another typical dissapointment from Telkom. I think the best thing to do would be for people to cancel their dsl subscriptions and change to Neotel...that way they would realise that there is something seriously wrong...
 
So, ADSL users on the "lower" packages will now pay proportionally more than those on "higher" packages.

Increase for 384: 276.20 from 263.90 = 5.5% or so increase
Increase for 4mb: R537.20 from R524.90 = 2.5% or so increase

Mr. Godfrey Ntoele, in what demented world are you living? We expected prices to come down... So what you really saying is that Telkom in it's incompetence to deal with real world capitalism, entertained a price hike? And now we the consumer must start thanking you because you hiked the price only marginally? Go @#$@ yourself!
 
Yay! My price for my dsl is getting closer to the neotel offering i want, I'm gonna switch as soon as they offer services here in durbs.
 
Was gonna get dsl...but not anymore.

Will rather get 3G now.

Telkom can go fukc themselves. They aint getting my money.
