Are you using the DVI to VGA converter that was in the box? Cause sometimes those can be up to **** and really mess up your image. I had that with an nVidia 9 series card.And secondly is everything default in CCC, cause if you mess with settings in that, oh boy, you can get some seriously wack problems.

yeah the last pic is quite normal looking 
mmm.... Ok well then I'll blow-up the high res images in photoshop and have a look at a much higher res so I can really see what is going on with those pixels.

dr.grimm, have you tested this card on another PC yet?
Well I blew the high-res image up, using photoshop, from 1680x1050 to 2560x1680, keeping the original quality throughout, and I really can't find anything wrong with the image, it has a constant render quality throughout without any flaws. Have you tried another monitor?

cant you see the little checkerboard patters it forms on the clothes (ether way it gets really worst. like in the other picture of the bell... (okay must say that one looks good, but that just one) cant test other monitor, dont have one, but thank for the idea, will make a plan. can it be too high contras??
