Will report on single lnb working or not...

Ah, the legendary HiFi Corporation customer service with their well-informed salesmen. I recall two years ago I wanted a laptop with XP and the guy said Microsoft no longer support it (seems he didn't get the memo that support ends in 2014 only) so I have to go Vista.
 
@DarkStreet - I was so cross I almost klapped the oke. I am sure they import their staff from High School's where the matrics are 25 and trying to pass for the 8th time! They know NOTHING about their products............ and they are not motivated at all to help.... they just stand around playing with the demo stock

Back on Topic - I REALLY hope this new decoder is less buggy than the other HD-PVR's........ hopefully less LNB cable inputs means less headaches!

R100 off maybe, but i seriously doubt more!

I would want before the world cup too...but I'm thinking either
- Get one now before another strike looms or out of stock by 11 June
- Or wait a week or so and save R100

ok, I'm going to drive to MC head office and buy my baby HD decoder there and have it sommer activated...
 
Why does everyone want the old model and not the new one? I'm lost, does record 2 channels instead of 1 make such a difference?
Plus the one won't have DOD atm?

Well, I for one am not interested in the daddy HD decoder....the baby has way less cables running into it...
 
To all the people who have bought/seen the new "baby" HD decoder, please confirm following:
1) Pace or UEC
2) 320GB or 500GB disk
3) Can you use RF out for Video
4) Can you see HD channels using a single LNB?

1) Pace, its actual model is called P2
2) 500GB
3) Yes, RF out which outputs as normal, RCA out & HDMI
4) To be determined...

Really? HD using single lnb? That'd amazing, then I'm off to buy one! Can anyone else confirm?
 
does this mean that in order to see HD no installation is required at all?
only if you want to record?
