the difference is that we chose to deal with MyBB members who are knowledgeable about hardware but expect them not make careless remarks on a public forum and do not come back to verify the facts.

Regardless of the "facts" this could have been dealt with in a better way. I dont really think the op said anything wrong, all he said is that the psu was smoking & he wanted to find out wat was wrong. He doesnt care about the non-smoking psu. He actually stated that he will be replacing it. What seems to be the problem now as i have to point it out to you, is you have crossed the line, not by standing by your test results, but by your infantile remarks. As a public spokes person you should know better.
For me its more of a let down to see a rep of a company feel the need to act in such a manner. A, i dont give a f attitude. Just sad.

Its against the rules.

Unwritten rules say PMs can be posted as long as both parties have publicly consented to it. Consider giving rpm an advance warning too - people do get banned for posting PMs so its better to play it safe.

The power supply was brought in claiming it was smoking it was tested for two days continuous and did not smoke once it

Its quite possible that both of you are right in this instance. e.g. If you buy a new stove plate it'll smoke & stink for about 15 mins and after that never again. So its quite plausible that OP saw it smoke & Esquire tested it and got zero smoke.

Though I must admit I wouldn't ever trust a PSU again if I saw it smoking even once.

I disagree. There are magnificent individuals at Esquire and good people there. All the problems stems from the MyBB representation and as usual returns policy and arguments.

Slandering the Gupta's and attacking me via PM was a completely different angle though. I never expected it.
