Vodacom premium desk told me a few days ago they expect stock this week, but who knows.

It doesn't. But why does it need it? So that you can play highly compressed mp4 movies on a tv screen?

I'm sure it will look just....um....awesome. And can you tell me how many times have you really used that feature?? :p

Go and search for the MvixPVR....you'll be surprised. :)
It does support TV-OUT, who told you it does not? TV OUT has been available from OS 1.1 AFAIK.

Just select PAL under iPod settings and it should work if you have the right connector.

Im considering getting one from the US, any reason why an Iphone from the US will not work in SA?
Apart from it probably being network locked to ATT?

How is it not locked in Australia?

Let me try explain it to you. BECAUSE IN AUS JUST LIKE IN SA & OTHER COUNTRIES BY LAW THEY ARE NOT ALLOWED TO NETWORK LOCK THE PHONE. In the USA they have what is called Prepriatory (network specific) phones. We in SA use GSM only not so in the USA. Long story short ALL USA phones are network locked.

I hope that clears things up

And same in the UK.

Had to pay 35 quid to unlock my phone.

I certainly won't be getting mine (when I do) from the local channels. I'll wait for the off-contract prices in the US to drop a wee bit and then get a couple from there to make it worth my while.
