It had better be at the most the same price as the iPhone 3G, and the latter had better drop in price when the 3G S comes out.

I'll consider getting one then.

Oh please please please please let us do an incontract upgrade. I still have a year and some before my iPhone 3G contract expires.

Been a Mac user for ten years this year, and wont trade their computer hardware for anything. Im not an iPhone user though. You pay an absurd amount of money for a sub-par smartphone. Hate to say it but Blackberry and WM (and now to a degree also Nokia) offer much better touch phones at the same price, with much better features.

I'd prefer the Nokia ExpressMusic over the IPoop anyday.

Glad to see SA is on track with this release. For a change we aren't waiting months or longer for a product available overseas. I'll be getting one of these.

I would agree on everything except the touch part, the iPhone is by far the best touch sensitive phone on the market, yes the others have much better features but in all honesty you can't fault the iPhone on the touch part!

As an iPhone user I really like the phone but I also scoff at Apple when they call new features innovation when the competition had it for more than two years.

But then that is why I have no doubt that all marketing people are going straight to HELL! Yes straight!

If I can pee on the parade here for a sec; Let me first check this "available in July" bit. That's 3 weeks away (or 7 at most), and I've seen the speed with which the green grocer ships their products.

A slide with July '09 was shown during yesterdays Keynote.

The article says that Vodacom confirms it..... Why then would they lie? If they did in fact confirm it.
