New iPhone release May 2012?

Hi Guys,

Ive been due for an upgrade for 3 month now but due to Vodacom's incompetence and false advertising, i'm still waiting for the 4s. I called the upgrade hotline to try see if I could get a new phone then but they too said they have no stock and can't say when they will get.

The lady who I spoke to said that there could be a new iPhone released in May this year? Any news, should I wait?
 
I have no idea, I tend to ignore Apple release rumours.

What I know for a fact, though, is that you never ever take release speculation from a Vodacom rep seriously. :)

Given how people are battling to get hold of the 4S until when are you willing to wait for the 5 - 2014?
 
She was correct. There 'could' be in May. Which means it will get to SA a few months later. There is always a new iPhone about to be released.

A colleague got his 4S at the airport voda-shop (not sure what brand of shop Cellucity, Nashua etc) in JHB last week. He just took a chance and walked up to the counter, asked if they had stock and did the upgrade there and then.
 
iPhone 4S got released in September/October. iPhones always have a one year run, sometimes more. Expect iPhone 5 only in September/October 2012.

I was once told the 5(this was pre 4s announcement) will be the upgraded version of the 4 running android.... Cried laughing at the oke and left
