I use Imaginet for my international cap and between yesterday and today I've noticed the following changes:

1. They no longer use the "5.01am 22Aug to 5.20am 24Aug" and "xxx download xxx upload xxx total"
2. They now use "1Aug xxx up xxx down xxx total"
3. If I go over my cap in a single session (My session lasted from 31Jul until 2 Aug) and the session goes into a new month, it is now subtracted from this month. I downloaded 1GB on 1/2 Aug on a July session and guess where it landed.... in August's cap... :(

Has anybody else noticed something like this?

yep, been like this for a while... have Axxess, WebAfrica and TI accounts and they all pretty much get data updates in real-time and are therefore able to tell which month the usage should be allocated to instead of simply going by sessions

The issue is the fact that the ADSL accounting updates are only done hourly (this is the standard for anyone using SAIX accounts), so if you are borderline to your usage and run out of traffic after an accounting update has taken place, you can overuse for an hour until the next update takes place and the system realizes you are over your limit and disconnects you.

This unfortunately presents a problem for ISPs, as you now have used up more than you paid for, In most cases if its a few MB of usage over we let it slip.
