New Rechargeable Lightbulb

That is very expensive lightning.

Be smart. Look for the 9w or 12w LED light bulbs in warm white, which is 2500k colour. Then you wont have dim rooms, and also not cool white light, with far lower electricity bill.

Also, LED is instant on at full light, vs CCFL that takes time to get to full brightness. LED also last far longer than both CCFL and silly incandescent bulbs.
Warm white ranges from 2500k to 3200k.

CRI plays an important part on the quality of color . You get what you pay for

So they arrived now, mightily impressed. Aside from the crap colour they're fairly bright. Can get them to activate by touching both terminals and it detecting the capacitance of your hand so very sensitive, any other device on the same line as it should get it to activate.

The Flash ones do they work like the Q7 mentioned in the OP they turn off and on without power at the switch or do they just stay on when no power?

Turn on and off at the switch regardless of whether there is power or not. Is why I bought them, very clever design

During loadshedding, you use the power switch to turn them on or off, even if there is no power. You need enough impedance on the lines to get them to trigger on when there is no power. Works brilliant in my experience thus far.

Perfect :)
Ill get one from Makro to see if it works in my house

Pretty cool bulbs

I prefer the 'Flash' light compared to the Ellies? version with the remote - the light seems more intensive and is another/better white. There is a clear drop in the intensity of the Flash toward the end of the loadshedding, but I can live with that.
