Yes it switches on and off with my lamps next to my bed
No it doesnt switch on and off with my ceiling lights

a globe that behaves perfectly in three other fittings stays permanently on in fourth fitting - this does not make sense - anybody else having this issue

Jip - with the downlight version of these.... in some rooms they work fine, in other rooms they work but some of the normal LED downlights stop working (Like they get cut off from the circuit by the battery LED light) and in some rooms the battery LED downlight stays on when I switch off the lights

I heard from someone it depends on how the circuit for the downlights was setup, so no way of knowing without climbing into the ceiling.

I have one that behaves like that because there is a fluorescent tube light on the same circuit. Why that would be I have no idea.
 
Changed over to these - Aurora - after the Light Worx started failing miserably soon.
Expensive, but they seem way better

All china shops sell them.
At night they need to be switched on, when Esdom fails globe still lights up.
They need a prober charge to work during load shedding.
When they switched off no Auto on.

Takealot is overpriced on these. I paid R110 per bulp form Makro a couple of months ago (I bought 5).

They went out of stock when loadshedding started again. I recently saw them for R140 on another website but looks like they may be sold out again.

I have only seen them in warm white and not everyone likes warm white. I don't mind warm white.

All these rechargeable globes uses the same no name battery just with different branding.

Repaired a couple already and today another 2 x 9w ACDC branded ones bought 5 months ago. The oke did not want to take it back again since this was the second set he received since buying it so he just got some proper cells.
