New Rechargeable Lightbulb

So bought one of those flash bulbs, and tried it out it works perfectly.
There is a slight delay when turning on and off when power is out.

I wonder if it also charges while the switch is off though (slower than when it's switched on) -technically speaking even when the switch is off there is current still going through the lines - or am i wrong there?

What exactly is pure white? That's not cool white or warm white and I can't remember which one is 6000K.

Nevermind Tinuva answered that for me a page or two back.

There's no current

Another thing I've realised is people often put super high wattage bright lights in, neglecting to notice that the light cover is made of plastic and therefore doesn't allow light to pass through so easily.

Especially noticed this recently when moving and to get the electric certificate they replaced both bathroom lights with the cheapest possible sealed light fitting they could find.

Replacing your light fitting might be the better longterm...and possibly even cheaper solution.

We have some of these.

Only problem interferes with Samsung TV etc.

ie. when we switch the TV on The Light also comes on... Just keep it charged and off when not in use.

Just got 2 of them today, which I got from BOB for R41 each. They are really bright.

And yes my Samsung remote also works on them :p But going to put them in the bathrooms, so should not be a problem.

I see Dischem has the Flash Bulbs now for R145.

And they have those Tevo branded rechargeable LED units with super long battery life for R249. The standing units that you plug into a wall socket and has a USB port that can recharge cellphones and tablets too.

Having an issue with one of mine, the damn thing won't turn off... Even removing it from the socket doesn't turn off.

Anyone else had this issue?

Is anyone using these? Which brands?
I have tried Eurolux (5w). Lightworx (form builders/makro) . Eagle lighting.

Eurolux seems to last longer than the lightworx during load shedding but it's not as bright.

Eagle lighting works well but it's a very large bulp and won't fit into some fittings.

I'll probably get another eurolux. The cheapest I've seen them was at Metro Home @ R90.

Can one switch them on and off when there's no power, or do they stay in the state they were in when the power failed?
