There's this old Polo somewhere in our area with the entire bonnet painted red, one fender black and the other yellow. There may even be a swastika on the boot lid but it's hard to see with all the smoke it bellows out the exhaust pipe.
makes me think they are not the brightest bunch around.
Then again, I think that of most Polo drivers anyway.

That somebody A) thought it would look good, B) went through with it and C) still drives around in it in broad daylight makes me think they are not the brightest bunch around.

An opinion of the majority Polo drivers, actually. You seem a little triggeredSo here we have mister Genius himself with an arrogant opinion about himself.![]()
As a polo driver, I see nothing wrong with anything you have mentioned above. An opinion of the majority Polo drivers, actually. You seem a little triggered
Let me give some examples of what I have seen just last week:
Oh, you are keeping a 1 meter gap behind the car in front of you while stopped at a traffic light? A Polo will try and squeeze his car in that gap and give you a dirty look while doing it because entitlement, right?
See that car that ignored the painted island on the merging lane onto the freeway, nearly careening into the Fortuner that was trying to exit the onramp normally? Ah, it seems to also be a Polo.
Ah darn, traffic is backed up at this speedbu---oh, look, a Polo that's been molested by having it's shock absorbers taken out has beached itself on the apex and now half the road is blocked.
Using a turning lane to go straight and using a lane going straight to turn is also something I have picked up. Bonus points if they zap the poor sod being inconvenienced by this. The minibus taxis around here still hold the crown for the most executions of this art, however.
Also near-daily events of witnessing Polos with no working brake lights - most of them have 2/3 working (usually one side lamp will be dead while the other will work along with the high-level light) but the odd one has none whatsoever - but this is something I have noticed on other VWs as well so it probably isn't a thing specific to Polos.
Look, man, I'm not saying all Polo drivers are the scum of the earth - perhaps it's just a PE thing or perhaps it's because there are so many of them - but there definitely is a trend that I have noticed whereby the majority of them just seem to be really bad drivers with really bad taste in some cases and I'm extra cautious when I am near them because of this.

Bit of confirmation bias there, me thinks. What car do you drive? An opinion of the majority Polo drivers, actually. You seem a little triggered![]()

It's probably due to the sheer amount of them on the roads. I saw another one today that was a little misbehaved - I just try and stay away from them in traffic if possible, but I apply that rule to every erratic driver that I manage to spot in traffic.Bit of confirmation bias there, me thinks. What car do you drive?
BMW drivers, Audi drivers, Ranger drivers, Hilux drivers, they all suck. Not Renault drivers mind you, because their cars are broken in the garage and not on the road.
Drivers in SA are on average just poor drivers.

Nah uah. My car reeks of German engineering! The best thing about poolo drivers is that they think they have german cars when they are actually just made in some third world hit hole.
