Yeah, that long post could've used any car brand in this country, it would still be accurate. South Africans as a rule are arseholes on the road. Saw a little clio this morning drive out in front of a truck and then brake to take a turn off. I think that idiot with the IQ map may just be right.

Back the the Phire guy, maybe a Polo driver touched him on his no-no?

I think you are mate, but its ok lemme know when you have some time we can take a drive and you too can enjoy the satisfaction of driving a polo. As for speed bumps, I have to honor my "low and slow" sticker on the back window.
 
Moaners will find a reason to moan about anything! It's chronic... Well done VW, a progressive company - times are changing, can't make all fossils and relics happy!

Once upon a time I owned a Citi Golf and it was the most atrocious POS that ever existed. The list of stuff that worked on that car was shorter than the list of stuff that didn't.

I seem to think that Polos attract the worst type of driver because it is (in the case of the Vivo) the cheapest "German" car you can buy. And due to the sheer %age of those cars on the roads it does seem like they are the worst offenders, followed shortly by double cabs which are in hot contention.

Oh sweet jesus, my condolences.

I had a Vivo the other day as a rental. It’s shitness was only outclassed by the Yaris Sprint I used not too long after.

Ridiculously badly thought out cars.

A full blown real Polo isn’t too bad though. Anyone who believes the Vivo is just last years Polo in a cheaper package hasn’t driven both.
 
On another topic, what is the significance of the new logo, and when will we first see it on a car in South Africa?
