I posted a bit more in another article, not to much yet. Didn't get the time and when I wasn't working, eskom didn't help with the loadshedding.

I'm going to take a plunge when I'm on leave soon and install linux in full on the tablet, although no touch screen/wifi/sound/etc.. works.

Going to use some stuff form the Fedlet project and other things I found to see what hardware I can get to work. Going to try and document as far as I go so I do a good blog post too.
 
I got the 10.1" 16GB model. There is no other software installed on C: except the windows installation. I installed Office 2013 and other programs on the 64 GB SD card. Now with the numerous Windows updates C: drive ran out space and cannot update anymore.. This tablet is basically now useless. Did anyone ran into the same situation?
 
I also have a problem with space on my 10". Where possible, I install programs on the SD card, and also moved my Documents/Pictures/Music/Downloads folders to the SD card.
 
I also tried to reset or refresh the installation and was not able to do so. Message is "There is a problem resetting/ refreshing your PC"
 
What I want to do is make a SD card a dynamic drive and create a spanned volume, thus merging the SD card and drive C into one. This possible?
 
Ok I gave up on the dynamic drive bit and just created a VHD on the SD card instead and mounted it to c:\SD. Did try to change the microsoft store installation path to the SD earlier, was easy, but downloads got stuck on pending. Have not tried to change it back to c:\sd

I haven't used Win 8.1 but on Win 7 if you go to "Disk Cleanup" and then select "Clean up system files" the clean-up deletes the things like the update backup files, updates that have been superseded etc. Obviously YMMV but it might be sufficient to get you going.

It helps, but it is not enough.
Microsoft need to be a little more considerate for windows 10.
 
Out of curiosity: are any of your tablets displaying the "Get Windows 10" icon ?
