New Windows-powered tablet-notebook hybrids now in SA

Finally managed to get my hands on 1.. What a mission took the salesperson over 15 minutes to find one for me.. Hopefully it's a good buy if not it's going back tomorrow.

keep us updated.
did you get the 10" one?

I'd love to buy one and install Linux on it...

8 inch tablet + R400 Microsoft wedge keyboard= full blown windows experience in 8 inches of glory.
Sounds like I am going to be paying Makro a visit.

Where do you see the Wedge for R400? Dionwire is R900 and Takealot is just under R900

Yea, I guess you can use the wedge as the stand, but in all fairness its cumbersome at best.

Oh and you need a Bluetooth mouse aswell, then you need to carry three separate things with you, instead of just one nettop, its a missed opportunity from MS.

For a tablet that can do work, I think that apparent cumbersomeness is well worth the cost.

The 8" one doesn't come with a keyboard? Meh.

Plug in a USB KB/Mouse and Prestik the tablet on a piece of tupperware :D

Still very tempted to buy it. Just wanna see what RichardG has to say about it.

Yep me too. It seems far better than the Android tabs in the same price category.

Bought an 8" one. It has a stuck pixel. Will exchange tomorrow.

What's the appeal? I don't get it.

I have a latitude 10 and much prefer having normal windows than anything android had to offer. I have an android tablet and dumped it after 6 months. I needed a tablet that can run windows programs. Only issue I have with the Dell are the lack of accessories. Will be looking at getting this for my wife and the plus is the keyboard with a track pad so need for a mouse.
