News server related queries

If anyone is familar with this problem in Alt.binz please let me know. I have the "select group" option selected in my server options and I have no success in downloading anything

This is a typical example;

Sorry but IS sucks a$$ for me, It just says connecting then unable to connect.
On SAIX it works like a bomb, seems its always cached on SAIX

You obviously are with SAIX then... you cant be on SAIX and IS at the same time!

Ya, I usually try NZBs, well actually its the only thing that I really know how to use with Alt.Binz. is there another way that I could download?

yes but it is complicated and less productive

what time of the day are you trying to download? i also get the selecting error but try after 6pm, it always downloads smoothly after that ( between 6pm-7am)

Im using Alt.binz. I am connected and can download certain things but the rest does not download although at the bottom of the program it says download (50/70), why would this be? Would it eventually start to download?

SAIX. I started downloading 2012 movie and it immediately started but not some of the other things. Does this mean that those things are not on the server?

yes... the SAIX sever has retention of 180 days(i think... may be a bit higher) which means if the NZB is older.. it just wont download
