Nintendo Switch Game Recommendations?

My nieces Switch Lite is no longer charging. I see that the charging port is a common issue on the Switch. I know she looks after it and doesn't leave it endlessly on charge.

Any suggestions on what to look for and how to troubleshoot? It is about a year and a half old so out of warranty.
Either charging port damaged or charging ic failed - two common issues on the switch

I took it from her and kept it on charge. Luckily it eventually came right and seems to be working again.

She had put it away during the exam period so the battery completely drained. Gave her kudos for being disciplined but advised to occasionally just check up on it to avoid it happening again.

With Switch 2 coming, maybe she's counting on inheriting my Switch

I know I'm very late to the party but Breath of the Wild is possibly one of the best games I have ever played once I look past the fake voice acting kak Nintendo loves to do.

Its only downfall is the ****ing fisher price controllers.

Friends, I bought a second hand switch, how do you guys find good deals on games as above?

Are there any shops which do trades or sell second hand games?

Any other tips for a new switch owner?

I don’t mind the controllers joined with the attachment thing, but look for a pro controller if it bothers you. Should be a few knocking about second hand these days.

It’s the quality of them that is the problem. The creaking and moaning and connection issues. And stick drift and hard buttons in weird places etc.

Apparently the Pro 2 controller is amazing so maybe they are finally getting better.

The drift is a pain which I had on the v1 console, but with a pro controller and now the 8bitDo controller I’ve used for a while, it’s not an issue. But quality aside, I guess it’s just getting used to new configurations as well if you are not used to the Nintendo layout compared to the PS or XB. I’d be interested to know if you are new to Switch/Nintendo?

But great to know you are enjoying the game. I played through twice at well over 300 hours each time. It really is a classic and TOTK has the same feel and replayability.

Not new to Nintendo at all, but these buttons are also new to the Switch and it’s the first time I’m playing a “real” proper game on it that uses the full layout.

But I think what makes it more confusing is that the button placement on Zelda is weird to start with and now you add the button confusion on top of this and it gets weird.

Being a primarily Xbox guy and PS secondary having the same lettering in a different layout can be confusing, it’s at least helped a bit in cases where there is a graphic for the location.

Like putting jump at the top face button instead of at the bottom is weird, and then having run there rather than clicking a stick makes it more strange.

Then your “action” buttons are to the side so I end up needing to play a while before it becomes muscle memory but then sort of resets by the time I play again.

The buttons being super small are quite hard on the fingers and the right analog stick is just in a very weird place.
