The tabs are there, just not pushed forward to switch it on.
No there are no tabs there, I have the exact pool timer switch and the bottom right is where the tabs are usually kept if you not using them you get about 5 on and 5 off tabs. The tabs can easily be lost and are usually orange for on and white for off. I cannot see any tabs on that timer

Humble apologies, you are quite correct. I remember them now that you mention orange and white removable clips.

1. Tabs missing on timer?
2. Bypass switch is on the top right - turn anticlockwise to On position.

To bypass the timer:
3. Blue wire should be neutral (Connect to bottom of the Main Breaker neutral feed on the same side as the black wire on the top OR join to the black neutral wires entering the timer - preferably remove the timer all together)
4. Faded brown/greyish should be live (Connect to bottom of Pool Breaker)

General
5. Electrician should be used if you're not familiar or confident.
6. Do not run extension cords outdoors unless rated for outdoor use.

I’ve been operating it manually since we bought the place. Going to check where the timers at now compared to the pic. That switch hasn’t moved at all.

Going to buy a meltimeter. To see where the electricity stops.
