NOKIA 5800: FIRST IMPRESSIONS

Just been released under the new 'specials' .. so should be available by the w/end. Have a look here
 
Yup I agree! :D that's why I'm not wasting any time or they may just change their mind!
 
I checked with the 2 stores near me and they say the new contracts are still been 'loaded' and will be available from Sunday. Damn, hope they don't change their mind by then! If anyone has any luck with any of the stores in JHB, let us know.
 
Jus seen the fine print next to the 5800 special: "available end February". I'm sure there'll be a loooong waiting list......
 
After much deliberation and going through the phases of "I'm going to get a iPhone/Touch Diamond/Samsung i900/Sony Ericsson X1", I've decided to get the Nokia 5800 on MTN Anytime 100 for R149. I feel this is the best "value for money" deal at the moment.

None of the MTN stores I phoned could tell me when they are getting stock, but I suspect it will be more to the end of the month.

Anybody know something concrete?

No...same story that Ive heard from this side. Seems like a solid phone even more so since the latest firmware updates. It just seems retarded that there is already such a "shortage" of them lol.

i got mine yesterday....

a brilliant phone...the most amazing thing for me is how responsive the touch screen is! haven't seen it on any other phones i used or tested.
user friendly as are most nokia's....
