Nokia 5800 not picking up 3G

I had my 5800 musicXpress sent into Midrand Vodacare for a high-level repair. I get it back and now I have lost my HSDPA connectivity. It's horrible being stuck on EDGE. Is there any way to install HSPDA settings without handing my phone in again?

You do not need settings. Please check under "network settings" if the phone is not in the "GSM Only" mode. If it is then change it to dual mode.
 
If they swapped it, it could also be faulty. Is your IMEI number still the same? I have on 2 occasions been given a refurbished 3G modem which could only do GPRS.

Why are you stirring the pot? Dont make me stirr you now ok? :-)

Let him check the network setting first...if that is in fact on 3G mode then he should take it back to Vodacare, provided it is not a network fault in the area. But as we all know Vodacom's network is flawless and never ever goes down. *grin*

Don't get me started. VodaCareLess truly is one of the worst places I have had to deal with.

mwhahahaha. and true as bob i read now that MTN is down in a couple of areas. But according to the article at least their uncapped 3G (150meg fair usage) customers can still browse hehehe *sly grin*

lol..i think its a settings issue , phone was restored to default factory settings
