Nvidia GeForce NOW SA launch

It's still very weird that they didn't test 3080s, only 3060s...
Its doubtful that its actual separate hardware, more likely high spec clustered that is virtualized gpus. Also would be standard with GeforceNow clusters so the scale and testing is more the auth, queuing and billing etc.

I bet Rain got the entire system for free and Nvidia is paying the rent on everything, seeing that we are literally standing with our money ready and they just go "Nope!"

So will al the GPU rendering stuff happen on a server somewhere locally then? No need to upgrade my 1050Ti card?

Correct, but for more general GFN info, please read their product pages/open a different forum thread.
Trying to keep this thread on topic, specifically about their launch in SA.

This is a pretty sick GFN Thursday update but alas, no beta access anymore and Rain are taking their sweet time with the public launch.

Really wish I could replay the Ori series at 4k120 with the 3080 tier.

@rain_mobile @rain_networks (whichever is the actual rain account lol) I refer to my post from a few days ago

So, I am the one who posted about GFN the other day, and although it wasn't viewed as serious by many, I actually did get through to Rain.

The post was actually serious FYI. (hmm...)

Moving on...

After some considerable effort, even with some b*tchiness from people online, I eventually managed to track down a person or two with more knowledge regarding the launch.

In short, and believe what you may, the launch shouldn't be a long way off. There's a rumor (a murmur more like) that it might be either this weekend or the next.

Check your GFN each day between 7-11am and 8-11pm.

You'd be surprised how far a little bit of BS in a post on this forum can take you...

I wrote that post for a reason. Check my reply to this thread. ;)
