Nvidia GeForce NOW SA launch

I understand your points about demand and oversubscriptions. It seems like existing Rain subscribers with contracts are given preference on the waiting list? Have I misunderstood this?
Don't see why, like I said, they make less money.

I don't have the 5g either.

To me, it reads like Rain is giving priority to existing clients who have a contract with them? Or not?
not.

they aren't giving preference to rain subscribers with contracts, i've seen a good number of people (including myself) get a slot without being on rainone or having any rain contract.

I think it is better for the reputation of this product that they dont over subscribe the users. Look at what happened a few years ago with Rain on their uncapped data products when they over subscribe. It was a total mess and hopefully they learned from that experience. Now they just let enough people in on this product till a point where it is profitable and give good experience.

Fair enough on limiting people in, after all it's a new service and all of that.
My question is won't active accounts just get traded and brought? Especially by people who want in, but don't got active credentials.

When it launched I posted it on the ZAGA Facebook group.

Since then I received 4 messages from random people from that group asking me if they can pay me to borrow my account because they can't get in.

@AfriNatic

Does Afrihost have any interest in providing a GeForce Now service? Seems the demand is there, and Afrihost would be ideal for this as SA's top rated (and possibly largest) ISP.

Rain is running outdated hardware and doesn't seem capable of an adequate degree of investment in this to make it widely available.

We have been discussing it internally a bit. I will bring it up again. A project like this requires significant investment in Dev time to implement.

Hell yeah! Bear in mind what a *significant* amount of GeForce Now testing you'll have to do if Afrihost bites the bullet. ;)

Anyone else’s beta accounts got the priority membership removed and signed out ?

When trying to sign in get asked about selecting a plan and there aren’t any options

Hi @William1102 please provide us with your email via PM using the following link: https://mybroadband.co.za/forum/conversations/add?to=rain_mobile so we can have a look at this for you, as at the moment we dont have NVIDIA slots available on sale but would like to add you to our waiting list.

Maybe Afrihost won't bring GFN but another service like Xbox's cloud gaming one?

Wouldn't be possible since Microsoft does everything themselves, they don't have an "alliance partner" thing like Nvidia.

Has anyone been having problems with Enshrouded? It seems like the gameplay is quite laggy on GFN.

Grateful to @rain_mobile for hooking me up with a priority slot, only took a couple of hours since the payment link didn't come through the first time but it was smooth sailing afterwards.
These guys are killing it
