Nvidia GeForce NOW SA launch

I've been waiting on the same page for around 30 minutes now and didnt see the nvidia pop up, is there anything I missed that will fix it?

Try using microsoft edge and set the zoom of the page by 70%. Thats what i did, it took a while for me to get it to pop up. And of course make sure you stay on this specific pageScreenshot 2023-09-27 214814.png

Seems the sign up/join now link only works for accounts that have been invited to the beta.

The link though, for anyone interested: https://www.rain.co.za/nvidia/join-now

This is the link given by the GeForce Now app, after signing in with your Rain account.

Did you have an invite before?
As that looks to be from an email and not the default rain shop landing page?

Are you trolling us?

That is the pop-up you see after selecting the priority plan. This is the steps I followed if I remember correctly:
  1. Click on the link in the email invite to the beta. The email basically just says you will get access to the beta for up to 4 weeks and then some stuff about what GFN provides and the link.
  2. Sign in
  3. Click "join now" on the page it redirected you to, which is https://www.rain.co.za/nvidia
  4. Click "choose priority plan"
  5. Then you see that page prompting you to buy RainOne - zoom out and wait a bit. Or try to zoom out and scroll around. Eventually it should show the option to skip to GFN purchase without any Rain package. Try different browsers too if you get stuck.
  6. At this point it asked me to sign in again, or sign up for a Rain account if I did not have one.
  7. After sign-in I was redirected to the checkout page.
  8. I added a new bank card and paid the R1 beta subscription fee.
  9. Then I was greeted with a page telling me that my Rain package speed upgrade was successful - obviously their devs are not done with the actual page yet.
  10. Then on your rain.co.za dashboard, you will see the GFN subscription as you would see any other internet package. That page just allows you to cancel it.
  11. If you were previously logged in via a VPN to GFN, log out and back in without the VPN and then it should show your account status as priority in the top right corner of GFN and also connect to the GFN server in Johannesburg.

While the rest of us wait for an invite... you can DIY your own streaming service using your own PC. I stream games to my phone and I have a Razer Kishi. Pretty great experience. If you're on the local network with 5GHz, there is almost no noticeable latency.

Hosting from your PC can be done with: https://app.lizardbyte.dev/Sunshine/
Client app to run on your phone/another PC etc: https://moonlight-stream.org/ (This does actually have an Xbox app, so you could stream your PC to your Xbox, if you really wanted to)

I tried that and 2 hours later it still did not do anything,I guess I'll just have to wait till rain/nvidia fixes these types of problems people are having

NAG also posted an article about GFN.
Similarly to MyBB, they also omit the free tier even though it's present in rain's system (see below).

Maybe it's just a placeholder and rain won't have it on launch? I wonder:unsure:
