Nvidia GeForce NOW SA launch

So I was only given the GeForce Now priority plan, which only allows up to 1080p resolution gaming. Which is not ideal for someone like me playing on 1440p for years now.
Tried Starfield, and the picture quality was pretty blurry that was most likely due to the lower res, but also a very noticeable noisier image. Changing the bitrate to Max did not resolve this. I could also clearly see and feel a delay in inputs although Geforce was showing me 3ms.
So I tried the new Forza Motorsport and was greeted with this

Clicking ignore just left me with an eternal spinny wheel.

I then tried the Kovaaks aim trainer thingy. Which was really good. Did not notice any delay or lag, really felt 1 to 1 barring the 60fps limit and lower resolution.

I ultimately have to wait till Rain offers a higher resolution plan to really see if this is worthwhile for me. Cause the 1080p gaming life is not for me, left that life many years ago.

That game is a bit of an issue. I needed to launch it twitch before I managed to get in. Performance on priority is not great.

Did you set Geforce Now to max? I find it's not bad at this resolution but ultimate tier at 4K 120 FPS is where I also want to be at to be honest.

Glad to see some more of you guys getting in. Hopefully they can move away from Beta soon so the rest of us don't feel as left out
I heard there will be 2 beta fases...anyone know if its true?

Only had an option of the 1080 version. Oh well, beggars cant be choosers I guess. Should be some old games out there to jol at the lower res and machine specs...

On the main menu...is there a view to get only the Xbox games without having to go trial and error searching for titles?

Tried Starfield just now but couldn't get the Xbox game sync to work. Had some error message about other device (likely Xbox) not syncing. Meh.

Just search xbox in the search bar and it will show all game pass games added to GFN

Yes there is an android tv app.

I connect my xbox one controller to it with bluetooth and then game like that on the tv.

The rigs are quite busy tonight.
Couldn't get the app to work on my Android TV box. Starts up fine and all but gives error message when trying to connect to the server. No vpn. Maverick 4K box.

Tried the website on an Android tv browser (TV Bro) and it loaded the server just fine..connects and everything. Only fails when trying to playing saying the browser is not supported.

Might need to side load Chrome...

Yep looks like mass testing started.

I see being treated as a non rain user even though I have rain , just not Rain One.

Got the invite and paid for priority (not a Rain customer, so I paid R2). Would have been nice to know that it's only 3060 rigs so far.

The VPN workaround I used before it was available here usually gave me 2070/2080 on the free tier.

Queue times for the Rain version is pretty much instant with around 15 ping. The queue time for the VPN method was pretty quick during off-peak time, but had like 220+ ping.

Honestly, I'd rather use the VPN method. I've gotten used to running games at near max settings, lol.

I have the nVidia shield with the controller and its really the first time i am using it after 3 years plus, it was just sitting there. I normally game on the Ps5.

Some takeaways after trying it a few times now.

The bad
The login into xbox for every game is supper annoying since i have to use the controller to fill in the details and do MFA auth.
The xbox game pass games are far and few between. There is not alot of choice for the big games. Seems like you need to own the game on steam and the like? But i can play the game for free on game pass ultimate. This is weird to me.
The waiting times can be annoying but i understand why.

The good
The games look decent and performs well most of the time.
The portability of this solution is awesome, i connected my controller to my pc and i was gaming forza. No installations or specific hardware required.
Overall looking forward the the final pricing and trying the bigger tier.

Can everyone who's been testing out the beta tell us how the input latency is and what their general experience has been?

Tried Warhammer 40K last night.
I was surprised by the input latency. Felt responsive.
Videos/cut scenes loaded smoothly and overall it looked good at 1080p.
What are your connection tests like on GeForce now ?

I get 3 to 4ms connection to the GeForce now server and there is zero delay. I have a GTX 1660 super with AMD Ryzen 5 1600 AF cpu. As a test I played 1 round on my pc and 1 round on Geforce Now. There is no input difference at all for me. I get about 20 FPS better on GeForce now due to the RTX3060.

What I'm really after is the Ultimate plan. I think that is going to be really good.
