Nvidia GeForce NOW SA launch

Played Gears 5, City Skylines 2, Anno 1800 and Ghost Recon Wildlands this weekend.

Felt like I'm playing locally on my pc with the game settings on ultra or very high!

So far the service is looking great!!

I've also enjoyed it so far, however as stated earlier, I would love to test the ultimate tier too. Forza Motorsport, feels a bit laggy and has had some visual hiccups in the few minutes I've tried (I did get a loading message from Forza Motorsport that the CPU is unsupported so it could be the reason...). Baldurs Gate worked very well (pre-patch, I still have to try post-patch).

I really want to get BG3 but it is just too expensive atm.

Apparently the Steam autumn sale is from 21 Nov so hopefully it will be on special then!

Bet the patch problem would also be sorted on GFN.

Works really great. Can't fault it Nvidia and Rain did a very decent job here. Rain network is surprisingly good for the GFN servers.

Only a few cons in my eyes really.

1. Cost? Will it be expensive?
2. Game availability
3. Game patching time
4. 90 min session time is short.

Yep - i'll add issue 5:

Traveling overseas... Because we're on a partner network I can't just change region to the local region I'm in (which I would be able to do with GeForce now directly (without partner).

That's one of the BIG PERKS of the service that we just won't get.

Are folks still able to sign up for Geforce Now on Rain?
It just shows me the "register your interest and we'll contact you" form.

Its still in beta, but I've heard people getting accepted even though they signed up a few weeks ago unlike us who signed up when it got announced in 2022. They've been accepting alot of people, so try your luck!

One of the best parts for me atm is the fact that I don't have to install a game to play it.

This means no more 100GB+ downloads on launch day, hopefully!!

What are the queues like rn on the local servers? Tried using a VPN to access the UK servers but there are like 300 people ahead of me.

I can only recall one time where there were 9 people or so ahead of me but besides that time, there are never queues.

EU has had 1 or 2 servers go down in the past couple of weeks (1 in EU North west is still down), couple that with the Fortnite kiddies and the release of that new chapter, and you have those type of queues.
