Nvidia GTX 460

If you can't wait for the 1GB version then go for the EVGA 768 Superclocked ones.

So annoying they're selling here for over a R1000 more than in the U.S.

Imagine a pair of those for less than R3000 instead of R4800
 
Every electronic component is cheaper in the states. Thats just the way it is. No point complaining about it
 
Looks like I'll b getting them from the U.K. Save myself a R1000
 
I ordered 2x GTX 460 768mb for 2 pcs, but they will make there way into my pc first for some benching. :D

Edit: NVM, my mobo won't cut it. :(

It's not that. If there's two GFX cards that's priced the same in the states, in SA the suppliers will price the newer one R1000 more.

so true -- i bought a POV 8800gt awhile back and it wouldnt even run assasins creed without shutting my pc down in 5 minutes. Load caused it to overheat with stock cooling so had to change the stock cooler and havent had any problem since...

Looks like a few companies are guilty of this.

Guru3d's review says the cards are silent, and mine certainly are not, the whiny fan hits 80% with the card at 70c, and it can be heard in another room at the other side of my house. This is false marketing simple as that.

*Update* The new bios makes things much better. The fan on my bottom card barely spins up now and the other only gets to 68% max under Vantage testing, even less under gaming.
