Office on Win 10 Pro

Not such a joke when your stuff is all stolen, a backup drive fails, you want to share files or you want to access your files on a multitude of devices without the need to connect a hard drive. It's 2018. Not being in the cloud is really antiquated.

And nothing is quicker than the split second it takes OneDrive to update your files once you've added or made changes to a document.
And slow your productivity.

A real joke. Such 1TB cloud setup require 20/20Mbps unlimited Internet connection. It costs R800p/m on fibre (if you are lucky to have fibre), more than $60p/m. It costs even more on cellular, not reliable to even consider it. Portable hard drive is the way to go and carry with you, store data in your home. This is what many small business owners do.

Come back from cloud of clouds to reality, you will find logic. :)

So funny... And scary that you are so monumentally clueless

Why on Earth would 20/20Mbps be required? I've had my stuff in the cloud since the 4Mbps days.

No one is suggesting you upload your library of pirated films. It's about your documents and photos being in the cloud.

sorry sajunky, yes having an offline external HDD works, but being so afraid of the cloud like you are is quite backwards, especially the value that an office365 subscription brings with it, full office suite + 1TB of storage...

Lets go on your logic about an offline solution:
1TB External - R1000 - 3 years of office subs
NAS - Couldn't find an enclosure cheaper than R2k , 2x 1TB at R1500 for HDD's as whats the point of a NAS without redundancy - R3500, 10 years of office subs.
Then you still run the risk of drives failing, getting stolen, lack of ease of sharing files across devices and locations.

Unless your running a design company where you have to uploads 100 of MBs every day then no fibre is not required. How much bandwidth would you need to modify 10x excel docs, or upload 20x word docs. 50mb? Not even.

SAJunky, with all due respect , you truly lack logical comprehension and analysis skills.

Firstly , you advocate piracy instead of a cheap legal option. With you spouting about insecurity of WhatsApp (without proof) elsewhere, its quite rich (excuse the pun) to advocate piracy here when said software may most likely compromise an entire PC! Please dont respond to the WhatsApp thing because I am really not interested

The OP looking for office and cheap legal options were provided by others . Guess what , the 1TB OneDrive space is a nice to have .. if you can't afford the internet, then it's ok, you not forced to use it. Office will still work !

You are now the first person I want to block on MyBB, cos after seeing your contributions on other topics, they are worthless to me. When I figure it out, I may just do it

I have a Google drive enterprise account. Currently sitting on 4.5tb of data

Done, passed Cloudflare.

You can't add a value of the 1TB cloud service if you can't use it to the full extend. A typical small office Internet traffic is no more than 100GB per year. Verified wih many people in this sector. They use cellular connection R1500 from Cell C. Internet traffic required is a minimum 10-times of the cloud storage space (for multiple editing and saving).

Do you want to add unnecessary 10TB traffic? You should add cost of the Internet connection, R10k or more per year.

My point is that Microsoft propaganda machine is not targeting small business or individual users. There is no suitable offer for these users battling with poor Internet access and also from the licensing point of view.

It is my last post on the merit, as I see that Microsoft officers picked up this thread attacking the messenger, it is going to be derailed.

Yeah, again you're wrong...

The small offices I am dealing with these days are all consuming in excess of 200GB per month and that is with them being conservative.... and cellular connections from CellC will be the exception rather than the norm...

Warning, a robot not understanding a word 'ignore'.

Where was that word?

And I do understand it, but I think you might fail to understand how it is applied in normal reality.
Robot responded to the temporary version, there was a word 'ignore' on the front. Once I passed Cloudlfare things, I removed it, so is not there anymore.
