Official Fallout 4 Thread

Ok, played for about a hour on PS4 and it feels nice and looks good. Nearly got hooked on the Donkey Kong mini game but now I'm trying to figure out how to get it onto the PIP Boy app on my phone :D

And performance on PS4?

@RazedInBlack Your salvation is near. Sealed secondhand copy of Fallout 4 on PS4 for R600 here.

It's nice and smooth. No noticeable slow down or any frame rate issues that I could see. All the story so far has been in the shelter but I just reached the outside so will see how it goes tonight.

My copy got delivered, with a free Blu-Ray copy of Red Dawn. :wtf:

All CNA orders seem to have included it. Mine also had it. I think it's a nice gesture on CNA's part. More stores should give away crap they can't sell - at least they're getting some customer loyalty instead of nothing.

When I get home today it will be done downloading. Can't wait!! :D

I want... but DANG 850 for it on steam wow...

Don't ever buy a game on Steam for $59.99. If you knew you wanted Fallout 4 you really should have preordered. My copy was R400 from CNA with free delivery (and even a free s**ty Blu-ray) and arrived just after 9am at my door.

Your best bet now is probably Greenman Gaming, as they have a 20% voucher that brings the game to $47.99. That's still R690 though. You can find the voucher on the GMG homepage, and if it doesn't work the game is $47.99 on CDKeys too.

Buying a AAA game on release day is the worst idea ever. It's usually impossible to find a good deal.

Edit: Steam is changing SA users onto the Rand today. Prices might go down if they adjust prices appropriately for our region. Maybe hang on a bit until the switch tonight.
