I'd like to see when this phone is actually available from local networks. I just couldn't stand the wait anymore, and don't have 10k in cash to whip out.

Got a call from Vodacom Upgrades department yesterday morning. They are expecting stock on the 7th and I should get mine within 3 - 5 days. Some more feedback regarding this phone:
Anything else you guys want to know?![]()
Does the One get a bit warm on heavy usage with that aluminum back?
Awesome feedback.. Thanks
Anything else you could provide on the software side? like BlinkFeed? any stuttering?
And how about the camera? the Ultrpixel and Zoe's?

What is sound quality like techie? How does it perform as a music player?
Thanks. I would be worried if it got close to my stereo amp or 5.1 lol. Just wanted a comparison to the Apple phone, iPod for gym listening and general portable use.Sound quality is really superb for a phone. Like I said before, it won't be replacing your 5.1 setup anytime soon, but it's definitely an improvement over anything I've used on a phone before. It performs really well as a music player, no complaints![]()
It's sad the HTC One doesn't have a micro SD slot, or USB OTG or HOST.
If it did, I would consider getting it. I love quality sound.
Lately I’ve been getting questions about USB On The Go (USB-OTG) support on just about every handset I test. With microSD cards going away for the most part, it does make sense to explore this somewhat. I tested the HTC One using a USB-OTG adapter I bought a while back, and can report that it does work with USB mass storage devices, keyboards, mice, and even hubs.
I'm getting mine on the Talk120s package, so it is not only limited to the Smart packages.
