Willie is really showing his value on attack tonight. Just wish he could get a couple of tries himself.

Boks are looking good. Very good. Now let's win the Four Nations.

I'm not a huge fan of coach Meyer, but I do like the open, wide play. He seems to have taught the team to pass the ball.

Very good display from the Boks tonight.

They came to play, unlike last week, and the difference was night and day.

Willem Alberts made a huge difference with his physicality, particularly at the clean outs and Louw as well, brilliant on the ground and at the breakdowns. A fetcher in the true sense of the word. Eben made his physical presence felt and really got stuck in too.

That quick go forward ball is priceless and our backs made good use of the possession with the exception of a period at the start of the 2nd half where they thought kicking ball away and letting the dangerous Samoan counter-attackers loose would be a good idea. It really threatened to let Samoa back in the game but Tuilagi's red put paid to their come back.

There is so much about Samoan rugby to be proud of, why they resort to foul play is beyond me.

JdV had a solid game as did MS and Willie's ability to draw the defense and then put his wing into space with a perfectly timed pass, has brought a missing element back to our attacking play out wide.

All in all a satisfactory outing and one to build on for the future. Rugby championship is a different animal though...

I loled at Adrian Strauss chasing after the Samoan fullback. Couldn't understand why he was so pissed, even after watching the replay a couple of times... and then the camera angle that revealed the 15 grabbing Adrian's nuts!!!! :p

Very happy for Habana getting his epic try, he must be really chuffed. He worked for it too, I like that. Team played very well tonight, 1 or 2 meh players still but the changes that were made, worked well and our game plan worked well. Willie is a revelation, no doubt.

Tuilagi banned for 2 weeks for that tackle on De Villiers.\

Nutcracker James So'oialo citing has been dismissed completely.

Man superbru is a cold hearted bitch - I had Italy by 6 and I was right till the 82nd minute :(

Well done Boks - I only have one small gripe (being a stout Cheetahs supporter) Why does Flouw get the ball at a llineout drive and then when Bismarck gets on the pitch they switch to him - traditionally the hooker always gets the ball from a lineout drive as he is the last player to arrive. . .

Agents trying to shine the light away from Adriaan!

Lol at that rage though - cleaned 2 guys off the ball in order to moer that oke :D

Good post - have to say I agree on most points.

Louw's ability to control the ball at the back of a drive has been highlighted a couple of times by a couple of different people. Maybe they're just using him 'cos he's very good at it?

If that is true I will accept it - but as soon as Bissy gets on the park the revert to him controlling the ball at the back - but in any case that is just a small gripe.

I thought about something today. I think most of us are impressed with how Le Roux's been playing so far. However, he hasn't really been tested in terms of tactical kicking. Either in him doing it, or having to defend against it. He's very active in the backline and this has given us some space and momentum, but against someone like Carter who's a sniper with his tactical kicking it'll be a whole different ball game. Thoughts?

Yeah. Was thinking the same thing watching him over the weekend.

He should be okay though. He's been good in the Super 15 playing against top quality opposition. More importantly far more dynamic than Zane or anyone else currently available at 15 for SA.

This U20 Kolbe, provided he matures and stays injury free, will be a shoe in for Bok fullback in the next 2 or 3 seasons. Reminds me a lot of Christian Cullen. Great talent, huge potential. I see he's joined the sevens squad for the upcoming tournament.

Mmmm, didn't realize he is so small. 1.70m and 79kg's.
