I know you're not, im trying to get your opinion on Moyes. Do you think we should keep him and let him buy new players or do you think we should get a new man in. Im not trying to argue, im genuinely interested in what you think.

No, I know you weren't. Just making my position clear.

To be honest, since SAF announced his retirement, I've been quite philosophical about this whole thing. The EPL has always been cyclical, and I didn't expect another title for a couple of years, with Mourinho back on the scene and City becoming a powerhouse in England. What I didn't expect was such regression in our style of play, failure to adapt, and outdated/incoherent tactics. For DM's first year I thought a realistic expectation was to at least get 4th.

End result - I have no ****ing idea. Do I want United to become a revolving door for managers? No. Do I think DM can come good at United? Yes, but I don't see any evidence that he's at least making moves in the right direction. Is he good enough for United? No idea - yet.

Either way, it is what it is. We will not get CL football this year. As long as he's manager of United, I'll support him, but if he's sacked soon I won't look at his time presiding over United fondly.
 
I had identical expectations to you, by no means did i expect trophies like Sir Alex. I thought we would come 3rd but be content with 4th and perhaps challenge in a cup. I would love for Moyes to make me look like an idiot and do a complete u turn but i just cant see that happening. Thats why at the moment i feel like we are just suspending the inevitable which could harm the club even more. At the end of the day im still going to support and cheer for the team, Moyes or no Moyes.

The United way is the Fergie way. Fergie is gone. Things were always going to change.

Evra and RvP are two players that essentially threw the towel in before the season started. One because he didn't like the idea of Moyes pursuing competition and the other because he thought he was bigger than the club and got the arse at a change in training. Rumours abound that during his injury lay-off team doctors cleared him earlier than he returned and it was RvP himself that was delaying his comeback. It must also be noted that both players carry significant weight among their teammates, so who knows how their dissatisfaction could affect the rest. I'm of the personal opinion that RvP has gone from talisman to poison.

Amazing that Rooney still ground on even with his future in doubt and with a manager he has a rocky history with and the training and coaching seems to be good enough to see Zanuzaj break out and Welbeck start looking like a decent player again yet it is the older players - that the club and Moyes really need to stand up - that seem to have problems.

The Rvp one i agree but not the Evra one, everything suggests that Evra supports David Moyes. Even with all these rumours about changing room bust ups, they are still reporting that Rooney and Evra are Moyes' staunchest supporters amongst the players. Yesterday Moyes took Evra with him to do the media interview for the champions league game, i think thats incredibly telling. I will look for an interview that Evra did with Sky a few months back, it was really good. You can tell that he has huge love for United which means he will support Moyes whilst hes manager.

The United way is not admitting before the Liverpool game to the entire world that they are favourites.

Even Brendan Rodgers knows this:

As I said, small time manager with a small time attitude and trail of thought.

As was mentioned earlier in this thread, Everton were always a hard team to beat under Moyes.

Is this what we want United to become? A **** team too play against who plays rather not to lose than to go out and win?

That was United under Fergie, always going for the win no matter what.

Imagine if Moyes was in charge in 99 when we were playing against Bayern. We would never have won that game.

This is why the players are not on his side, due to his defeatist attitude.

Nothing new. He did that in his time at Arsenal. Get's the all clear but doesn't "feel right" so takes more time off.
