My phone is unrooted and it does, make sure you select the 3rd party option in the Applications setting. Once you install the apk it should auto-upgrade each time you open it. It is odd that you would lose Google Play/Market on stock though.

I should be getting my Note soon - can't wait. I hear that Samsung S.A. has the white ones now, not sure when they will be readily available.
What custom ROMs are you guys running and what do recommend I try from the XDA forums?

I have pre-ordered a Rearth ultra-slim case (in matt black) which I may have to sell if I end up getting the white phone.
I will sell it for the same price that I got it for - it will save someone a few weeks of waiting for one.

It makes it easier to grip in my opinion too, and the case comes with a decent screen protector.

According to my Paypal the total with shipping was US$37.43 so it should come in under R300. Will have to check my statement for exact amount. I hope to get clarification tomorrow on when my phone will be delivered. As soon as I am sure that I can get a white one you can have it. If you want to PM me your details I will keep in touch, as I don't think you are too far from me. You are welcome to take a look in the meantime - I am sure you will be happy with it.

Edit: Net amount: $37.43 USD (equals -R276.81 ZAR) (Paypal tells you the conversion on the statement).

Video camera has issues but not critical for my daily use.
What bugs me the most is I have Tasker adjust volume levels based on time of day and if connected to my Phillips Android dock. Tasker not working well under ICS. It handles other tasks, just not volumes.

Other than that, very smooth and sexy ROM.
If you plan on using it (or any ICS ROM), dump the default launcher and use Nova Launcher. Awesome launcher.

I am collecting one this week (from Samsung Head Office). I will try to find out when they will be available. They are in the country, so it should be days/weeks, not months.
