International holiday yes! But most have already been told that they will be playing Currie Cup games for their provinces this week.

Yeah neither was Kieran Reads shoulder charge on Habana or Sivivatu tackling the self same Habana in the air!!!! If you going to site and ban Fourie then why not them too??!!!!!

The inconsistencies and bias against SA is so blatantly obvious now!!!! It's not even subtle any more!!!
 
I agree with the banning this time around, it was not a nice tackle and i cringed when the oke hit the deck.

While there are obvious intentions against us to ban us we will just keep goin, nobody else gets banned only the green and gold of SA but when you are at the top and teams fear you then that is what happens.

It just shows how feared we are.
 
BS Killa!!!! Owens was looking for every opportunity to penalize us and he was closer to the action and that tackle than anyone else yet he said and did nothing!!!! It's f u c k i n g BS I tell you!!!! I"M SICK OF THESE DUCKERS!!!! KILL THEM ALLLLLLLLLLLLLL!!!!

I'm so glad PDV is not the political correct appointment he was elected to be, he stood by Schalk guilty or not and I hope he continues to do so because clearly no one else is standing up to the IRB and their BS!!!!!!

They hand out bannings for dangerous tackles like speeding tickets at the Daytona 500!!! I mean WTF??!!!

Fourie has a clean record and he gets 4 weeks. The reasoning IRB gave Giteau 2 weeks for his tackle on Du Preez was on the basis of him having a clean record. It's a mitigating circumstance taken into account when handing down sentencing yet Fourie, 4 weeks thanks for coming!!!! BS!!!!!!

Did they? I thought nothing happened from the flying forearm - or are you referring to another incident?
 
No i know but the ref may have missed it or something but when it happened i thought yea that is a citing and ban for sure. regardless of anything else for me it is a very dangerous tackle that can end in a broken neck. While i get we are the only ones who get punished i still look at the tackle rather than saying but nobody else gets punished.
 
Just saw a replay of the tackle. Nonu had lost the ball and was looking backwards (away from Jaque) and actually slowing down to stop. Jaque then came in, committed to drive the big Nonu back, but Nonu wasn't offering any resistance, just his momentum. Jaque lifted his legs and lost control of him and Nonu landed on his shoulder area.

You can find evidence of it being late and a spear tackle. Or you could say that if Nonu hadn't lost the ball, it would've been a great tackle, with Jaque possibly driving him back. But you can't make rulings on ifs I suppose.

I also just watched again on blitz and to me it is a neck breaking tackle that did not need to happen. Sorry but regardless if you are clean player that can break someone's neck.
 
You guys are missing the point. Why has Sivivatu not been cited for tackling Habana in the air? Here you go...

Because tackling a man in the air the way he did (when he made contact he pulled away, trying not to influence the player any more) was worth a penalty, nothing more. Like Owens said, it was a matter of bad timing not bad intent.

Spear tackles, on the other hand, are a much more serious matter. Depending on the severity of the tackle it'll range from yellow card to red card + automatic citing.

As for the late shoulder charge, nothing less than a yellow card in my opinion.
 
Techie: He didn't even make an attempt for the ball. You can't seriously be saying that it was 'bad timing' when he ran into Habana. The fact that he didn't compete at all surely means that he did have 'bad' intent?
