Official Vox DSL feedback thread

Can someone please tell me what is the softcap on the 4mb uncapped adsl. I have been using 120gig + every month without being throttled. I dont download much, merely streaming off Youtube.

4Mbps uncapped:
At 60GB consumed (30% of soft cap) – drop speed to 2Mbps
At 120GB consumed (60% of soft cap) – drop speed to 1Mbps
At 200GB consumed (100% of soft cap) – remain at 1Mbps until end of month

I'm guessing gift, mine went from 150gb to 200gb. Telkoms IPC price cuts start today.

Received an unsolicited call from a Vox agent today.
He offered me the opportunity to move my DSL access to Vox, which I turned down.
He asked me if I was happy with my data package, to which I replied that I'm not.
He asked if I had opened a ticket about the issues; I said no since the issues seemed widespread based on similar reports on myBB at the times of the issues. (not the best reasoning, I know)
He then very helpfully let me know how to cancel, and informed me that I would need to give a month's notice.
Had he asked, I would have told him that the issues with intermittent, and related to DNS and speed, but I can only assume he wasn't interested enough in hearing about it.

I thanked him, and we all lived happily ever after.

I've gone from 150gb to 200gb! Wow!! Just wow!! I pay R164 a month for this fatpipe account. Data has rolled over to over 1000gb too! It's unbelievable value for money!

Am I not doing the calculation correctly or are we now paying 82c per GB?

Does anybody know if this was across the board? Checked the portal now and mine also still showing the old base cap of 100GB.

Even less if you assign a value to the 1TB of rollover data most of us have accumulated.
Downside is that I am accumulating that data because VOX is often unusable in Cape Town at the times I need the data.

So value is difficult to determine, I may get better value paying more but being able to actually use the data rather than accumulate it.

Well, it needs saying somewhere by someone: Thank you, Vox!
