On a 4 mbps and only getting 2mbps

We have recently upgraded to a 4mbps Premium Uncapped ADSL from MWEB and we are not getting the speed we pay for. Maybe this is a Telkom issue.

Downloads only reach 210kb/s and speedtest results only 1.9mbps.

No throttling on our line, I have checked.
 
Go to MyAccount and Click on "My Products" and see if it says 4MB Premium Uncapped ADSL.

Who do you pay for your ADSL line rental?

Did you upgrade that as well?
 
Is your line with Mweb as well? Did you try to Reboot your Modem. I did that when i upgraded, it worked.

I rebooted in the router settings... My line is not with mweb, whats the diffirence between mweb and telkom managed lines

Ok.

Your account is 4Meg. Think of it like upgrading your car from an i10 to an i20.

Your line is the speed limit of the road.

So even if you have an i20, it's only going 60km/h because of your line.

You need to also upgrade your line so your i20 can now reach 100km/h.
